Frequently Asked Questions
What is microbiome engineering?
Microbiome engineering involves selecting, combining and deploying beneficial microorganisms to modify the ecological niches of roots, leaves and greenhouse surfaces. Rather than acting directly on the plant, we act on the microbial communities surrounding it to improve nutrition, strengthen immunity and reduce disease pressure. This also includes the sanitation dimension: rigorous, targeted cleaning reduces the presence of harmful microorganisms and creates the optimal conditions for beneficial microorganisms to establish themselves.
What is the difference between Éra Boost Pro and Éra N-Fix?
Éra Boost Pro is a consortium of six plant growth-promoting Bacillus (PSB/PGPR). It solubilizes phosphorus, produces phytohormones and promotes root establishment. Éra Boost Pro also helps prevent salt and water (abiotic) stress.
Éra N-Fix contains other Bacillus strains that fix atmospheric nitrogen and proliferate effectively in disturbed ecological niches. Both are complementary but are used in sequence, not simultaneously.
Can multiple Éra products be used at the same time?
Éra products are not all compatible with each other for simultaneous application. Éra Boost Pro and Éra N-Fix are not used together — they are applied in sequence, a few weeks apart. Éra Prevent is compatible with Éra Boost Pro on one hand, and with Éra N-Fix on the other. Éra Aqua is compatible with all plant health products in the line.
Can Éra Prevent replace a chemical fungicide?
Éra Prevent is not positioned as a direct replacement for a fungicide in a crisis situation. It works preventively through the induction of systemic resistances (ISR and SAR). Its efficacy is greatest with regular preventive application, before symptoms appear.
Can Alcali Pro and Acid Pro be used on the same day?
Yes ! This is actually the recommended protocol. Alcali Pro is applied first to eliminate organic soiling and biofilms, then Acid Pro to dissolve inorganic deposits. A complete rinse between the two applications is required to avoid acid-base neutralization.
Is Éra Clean ÉcoSol compatible with plants in production?
Yes ! ÉcoSol is formulated for application on floors and gutters with no risk to crops. It is not a biostimulant and should therefore not be applied directly on plants.
